"My work explores the relationship between consumerism, transformation and purpose. I create sculptural collages from found objects, reconfiguring discarded materials into novel forms, presenting refuse and everyday items in unexpectedly striking visual compositions. By utilizing items otherwise destined for the dump, I can challenge the fate of these objects and highlight the profound human capacity to reimagine and reshape the world around us in small ways and large.
My creative approach is intuitive and improvisational. I frequently start with a broad concept, allowing the piece to evolve organically without strict plans. This freedom enables me to experiment with the aesthetics of placement and composition, often leading to surprising and thought-provoking configurations. This process of recomposition is not just a physical act but also represents the potential for the mundane to become extraordinary. Ultimately, my goal as an artist is to illustrate the possibilities inherent in life for transformation and renewal.
My art is an invitation to re imagine the bounds of possibility. I want to inspire viewers to recognize their own potential for metamorphosis—in every sense of the word. We are not bound by the lives, identities, institutions, systems or constructs we inherit. Each of us has the power to re envision the world around us and forge a better, more sustainable path forward."
